"On 21st February 2025, L’Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux announced the election of François-Xavier Maroteaux as its President. At the head of Château Branaire-Ducru, he takes over after Ronan Laborde, at the end of his three-year term and aims to unite and involve the Bordeaux wine estates in the UGCB's new roadmap.
He has been involved for many years in Bordeaux's collective organisations, serving as President of the ODG Saint-Julien in 2017, then Vice-President of the Fédération des Grands Vins de Bordeaux, and he is an active member of the CIVB."
