The Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux
December 16, 202428th November 2024, a CIVB/GCVB Day in Tokyo, for the “50 Bordeaux Selection 2025 in Japan”
To celebrate the “50 Bordeaux Selection 2025 in Japan”, Aurélie Thiolière, Market Manager for Japan, from the CIVB’s Marketing department, went to Tokyo on 28th November. A GCVB delegation was also present for this day, comprised of the Grand Maître of the GCVB and 4 representatives of the appellations Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur (members of the wine brotherhood, L’Ordre des Vignerons de Bordeaux-Bordeaux Supérieur).
At the beginning of the afternoon, at 3 pm, a Masterclass for professionals presented by Agnès Person (Château Jalousie-Beaulieu) and Jérôme Depoizier (Château Boutinet). At 5 pm, a presentation given by the CIVB, “Bordeaux in Japan: tradition, innovation and diversity for wines of today and tomorrow.” After this overview, an induction ceremony took place, presided over by the Grand Maître of the GCVB, Jean-Marc Dulong.
At 7 pm, the Grand Maître made an official presentation of certificates awarded to the winners of the “50 Bordeaux Selection 2025 in Japan” and to the winners of the retail and CHR campaign for 2024.
To conclude this day in Tokyo, a cocktail buffet was given, accompanied by wines of the “50 Bordeaux Selection 2025 in Japan”.
In total, 150 professionals and 150 consumers attended this event in Tokyo.
