The Bordeaux wine region is doing everything possible to adapt to climate change

On 1st November 2021, the 1 o'clock lunchtime news programme on France2 presented a report on the Bordeaux winegrowing region, where new grape varieties are being tested to see how they resist in hot weather conditions.

For the past 10 years, scientists at the INRAE have been testing 52 grape varieties to see how to adapt the winegrowing region to climate change.

The largest experimental plot in Europe, concerning the adaptation of wine production faced with climate change, is found in the Bordeaux region.
