In springtime 2021, Laurent Cogombles, co-owner of Château Bouscaut with his wife Sophie Lurton, became President of the Union des Crus Classés de Graves for a term of office of three years. He takes over from Jean-Jacques Bonnie, co-owner of Château Malartic-Lagravière.
Laurent Cogombles, President of the Pessac-Léognan appellation for 12 years, is now at the head of the association that groups together 14 Graves Classified Growths, red and white wines: Châteaux Haut-Brion, Bouscaut, Carbonnieux, Chevalier, Couhins, Couhins-Lurton, Fieuzal, Haut-Bailly, La Mission Haut-Brion, Latour-Martillac, Malartic-Lagravière, Olivier, Pape Clément, and Smith Haut Lafitte.
