20 members of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in St. Louis and some members of the trade were treated to 30 samples of Bordeaux 2019s.
Although the wines had travelled 3 500 miles at 30,000 feet , they showed remarkable freshness.
We found that the white wines were all of good quality.
The wines from the lesser-known appellations were all very tasty and seem like they would be good wines in the near term.
The Left Bank wines were delicious and we consider them well priced.
The Right Bank wines were very tasty too and showed nice structure, colour and tannins.
In particular, the red wines we liked best were : Château Pedesclaux, Château Siran and Château Saint Georges and we also enjoyed Château Caroline very much.
The sweet wines were probably the hit of the day as they were terrific and we really liked Château de Myrat.
All of the wines for this tasting were enjoyed and appreciated.
