November 14, 2025CBCF. Wine Tasting & Symposium. At the Salon des Outsiders in Paris, on 14th November 2025
The annual 2025-2026 “Art & Wine” tasting and symposium, organized jointly by the Salon des Outsiders and the CBCF, concluded successfully in Paris. We warmly thank all the guests who took the time to participate in this exceptional event.
1. Fabrice Léger — Founder of Salon des Outsiders
2. Jean-Marc Quarin — Renowned Bordeaux wine critic
3. Christophe Capdeville — Development Director of Château Brane-Cantenac, a Second Growth (Deuxième Cru Classé) in the Margaux appellation, part of the official 1855 classification system of the Médoc (Bordeaux, Left Bank)
4. Jean-François Quenin — Owner of Château de Pressac, a Grand Cru Classé in Saint-Émilion, an official classification of the great estates on Bordeaux's Right Bank, reassessed every ten years.
The conference was held in the prestigious setting of the three-Michelin-starred Pavillon Ledoyen restaurant, located on the Champs-Élysées, near the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais. This independent building, situated in an iconic Parisian location, provided an ideal setting for wine tasting and cultural exchange.
The session began with a presentation by the Grand Conseil de Vin de Bordeaux and the Commanderie de la CBCF, followed by insightful and inspiring presentations from the four guest speakers.
Mr. Fabrice Léger began by presenting the origin and founding spirit of the Salon des Outsiders. Mr. Jean-Marc Quarin, for his part, explained, as a professional taster, how to independently select excellent wines, uninfluenced by market trends, whose prices can vary from a few euros to several hundred or thousands of euros, while remaining able to identify their true value.
Each Château has its own philosophy and priorities. Christophe Capdeville, Operations Director of Château Brane-Cantenac, and Jean-François Quenin, owner of Château de Pressac, were present to share the culture and vision of their respective Châteaux. From the terroir, climate, and grape varieties, to the history and philosophy of winemaking, as well as their dedication to the art of viticulture, these two speakers offered participants a profound insight into the soul and spirit of their Châteaux.
