Commanderie de Bordeaux in Tokyo : “Christmas Evening of Saint-Emilion Grands Crus Classés”

On Wednesday 8th December 2021, in collaboration with the Association des Grands Crus Classés de Saint-Emilion, the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Tokyo held a “Christmas Evening of Saint-Emilion Grands Crus Classés”. This festive tasting and dinner took place at the Angelo Court Tokyo, in the presence of Mr Nicolas Thiriet, Minister-Counsellor at the French Embassy in Japan.

Among the guests were also Mr Bernard Thomann, Director of the French Research Institute for Japan and Mr Frédéric Mazenq, Director of Atout France.

After a speech given by Mr Takuya Nakanishi, Vice-Maître, Mrs Françoise Moréchand said a few words to propose a toast at this splendid occasion.

57 participants had the great pleasure of tasting a wide range of wines given by the Association des Grands Crus de Saint-Emilion to the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Tokyo.

During dinner, in collaboration with Miss Haruka Shimoda, “Miss Wine 2021”, a tombola was organised to raise funds for charity. The Tokyo Commanderie was able to give the sum of 138 000 Yen to the charity Médecins du Monde.

And according to tradition, Mr Shinichi Yasuda concluded this festive event by saying,
“I love Bordeaux, Always Bordeaux !”
