Daniel de Busturia, Maître Emérite of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Madrid

The “Bordeaux 2020 Vintage Tasting” was held on Thursday 27^th May 2021 at 7 pm at LAVINIA and the presentation of Bordeaux Wines en Primeur 2020 went very well.

Given the number of wines we had to taste and the restrictions imposed by the pandemic, we had a superb tasting event at LAVINIA.

Participants were seated at tables of 4 people. 10 Commandeurs took part, as well as 4 journalists and 10 sommeliers.

In living memory of all the journalists and sommeliers, they had never before, in Madrid, taken part in such an extensive Primeurs wine tasting: 5 whites, 2 rosés and 15 reds.

We grouped the wines together by colour and by regions.

The Primeurs wines were presented by Mrs Isabel Mijares, an oenologist and by Mr Juan Manuel Bellever, CEO of LAVINIA.

Our tasting lasted 2h30 and a light meal was served during the evening.
