The Grand Maître of the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux, Jean-Marc Dulong travelled to Vietnam to preside over the induction of the new Maître of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Hanoi, Jean-Michel Caldaguès, on 2nd December 2024. The Grand Maître was accompanied by Benoît Souliès, who represented the Bordeaux Wine Brotherhood, L’Ordre des Vignerons de Bordeaux-Bordeaux Supérieur. A Gala Dinner followed this ceremony.

In November 2019, Jean-Michel Caldaguès was nominated Managing Director of AIRBUS VIETNAM LLC, a newly created legal entity (100% subsidiary of AIRBUS SAS France). He took his retirement at the end of 2021.
Over those 22 years, AIRBUS developed a considerable commercial presence, with around 280 commercial aircraft sold on this market.

The Ambassador to France in Vietnam, Olivier Brochet, was also inducted at this occasion, as Ambassador of Bordeaux Wines.
