February 26, 2024Commanderie de Bordeaux in Paris. An evening for the General Meeting and Dinner with Château Kirwan, 8th February 2024
It was a wonderful evening that began with the Annual General Meeting, during which the Board was renewed.
We were joined by our guest of honor, Sophie Schÿler-Thierry, Château Kirwan, Margaux Grand Cru Classé 1855, who had already given us the pleasure of coming to the Club de la Chasse on September 21st, 2021.
An unexpected delight awaited us: Commandeur Bertrand Gaucheron-Pérol played, as an introduction, the "fanfare of the Commanderie de Bordeaux Paris" on his hunting horn. It was an inspiring moment!
During the aperitif, Sophie Schÿler-Thierry was presented with the title of Honorary Member of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Paris, to her great surprise.
Dinner was served in the Mansart reception room: our guests introduced themselves, as well as our friends/Commandeurs from French-speaking Switzerland.

“A new Dinner held by the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Paris to discover the fine wines of Château Kirwan, Margaux Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Superb pairings were prepared by the Chef of the Musée de la Chasse and delighted the 32 Commandeurs present at this evening reception. What a surprise to be inducted into this recent, dynamic family by my friends Maître Antoine Juaristi and Maître Emérite Henri Guiraud, an honor and a token of friendship. Long live this very dynamic Commanderie, which is most active for our fine Bordeaux wines.”
