February 2, 2024Procession of the GCVB and Wine Brotherhoods. Ceremony of New Year's wishes 2024 to the Mayor of Bordeaux
On Wednesday, 31st January 2024, a meeting was held of the Executive Board of the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux, extended to the Grands Maîtres of the Bordeaux wine brotherhoods.
Following this meeting, the Grand Maître of the GCVB and the representatives of the various Bordeaux wine brotherhoods walked in procession through the streets of Bordeaux to head for the City Hall to present their wishes for the New Year 2024 to the Mayor, Mr Pierre Hurmic.

The Syndicates and Bordeaux wine brotherhoods called upon the generosity of winemakers to present to Bordeaux City Hall a lovely selection of wines of the region.
The Bordeaux brotherhoods represented on this occasion were:
• La Jurade de Saint-Emilion
• La Commanderie du Bontemps Médoc & Graves, Sauternes & Barsac
• Les Hospitaliers de Pomerol
• Les Baillis de Lalande de Pomerol
• La Connétablie de Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux
• L’Ordre des Chevaliers des vins de Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux
• L’Ordre des Vignerons des Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur
• Les Compagnons de Bordeaux
Mr Hurmic gave a cocktail reception to thank this wine delegation, as well as other guests and it was held in a reception room of the city hall, directly after the ceremony of new year’s wishes.
