The Hong Kong Commanderie de Bordeaux held its Annual Gala Dinner at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on 13^th December 2023. The format for the evening was a black tie dinner, which began by the induction of 11 new members, by Maître Alex Cheung, Vice- Maître Wilson Kwok and other members of the Council.

Over 230 members and their guests attended the fantastic 5 course dinner with the wines being entirely brought and shared by members. Over 300 bottles of Bordeaux were consumed over the evening, with highlights such as Figeac 1985 (Imperial), Latour 1970, Pichon Lalande 1982 and numerous other Left Bank and Right Bank bottles and magnums spanning 1953-2016. These wines were generously shared and enjoyed in the best spirit and fraternity of the Commanderie.

The Hong Kong Chapter remains one of the largest and most active Chapters in the world with over 160 members and a total of nine events and gatherings held in 2023.

2024 promises to be another busy year with the return of VinExpo to Hong Kong in May 2024, highlighting the importance of the city for the promotion of Bordeaux wines in China and the rest of Asia.
