New Maître Louise Caouette

At the Montego restaurant in Quebec, we held our ceremony on Sunday, December 10^th, during which we honoured Céline Saucier with the title of Maître Emérite of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Quebec. At the same time, we received our Founding Maître, Mr. Pierre Cazalis, as well as Mr. Robert Lesage, presenting them with the title of Commandeur Emérite of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Quebec. That same evening, I was named officially as the new Maître of this Commanderie.

It was a moment filled with emotion and I would like to thank wholeheartedly the Grand Maître of the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux, Jean-Marc Dulong, for all his support given to help us organise this ceremony. His message touched Maître Saucier and the title of Maître Émérite she received delighted her.

Here is an excerpt from the message of congratulations I read out as the new Maître, sent by Grand Maître Jean-Marc Dulong, in which he thanked Céline sincerely for her dedication to the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Quebec:

"Dear Céline,

Since 2016 you have presided over the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Quebec with great enthusiasm, nurturing conviviality and friendship, never forgetting to fulfil your duties as ambassador of Bordeaux wines. We thank you sincerely for all this.

You have always been extremely kind and attentive to the people around you, very generous with the time you devoted to the activities of the Commanderie.

During these 9 years, you breathed new life into the Commanderie by increasing the number of activities, by organising several trips to Bordeaux, the last of which was in October this year.

You complete your mandate, leaving an organisation full of vitality, with 24 members.

The Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux congratulates you dear Céline for your vibrancy.

For your dedication and loyalty to Bordeaux wines throughout your term as Maître, on behalf of the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux we present you our sincere gratitude. Congratulations and thank you for all you have done for Bordeaux wines.”

I would like to ensure you of my commitment to the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Quebec and to its members, as well as to the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux, its objectives and values.

At this occasion, three new Commanders were inducted.
