On 28^th November 2023, at the occasion of its Board of Directors’ meeting, the Conseil des Vins du Médoc elected its new President, Patrick Meynard, owner of Châteaux Lalaudey and Pomeys, in Moulis en Médoc.

After a first career as a chartered accountant and external auditor, Patrick Meynard took over the family business located Quai des Chartrons in Bordeaux in 2005.

He made a reality of his passion for wine, that emerged during the harvesting he did in Libourne as a student in the 1980s, by making the acquisition in 2007 of Château Lalaudey, property located in Moulis en Médoc. The following year, he bought Château Pomeys in the same appellation.

From 2016 to 2019 he was President of the Moulis en Médoc appellation. He was re-elected President of the ODG Moulis in October this year.
