“Welcome back” Lunch
We enjoyed a very successful event. Our first of 2023, as usual was held at Bleu Provence Restaurant on October 28th .This was our 180th Parlement.
The restaurant is owned by the Cariot family originally from the South of France and is the only Wine Spectator Grand Award winner in this part of Florida. Clément Cariot, the Dining Room Manager and Advanced Sommelier is a member of the Naples Commanderie and co-hosted this luncheon with Thomas Becker, one of our original members.
We enjoyed a delicious luncheon consisting of some excellent hors d’oeuvres, a vegetable gratin paired with 2015 Chateau Pape Clément Blanc, a Veal Blanquette paired with a 1990 Chateau Lynch-Bages, Pauillac, and a 1990 Chateau Rausan-Ségla, Margaux. This was followed by a Filet Mignon with a 2009 Chateau Angelus, and a 2009 Chateau Valandraud ‘Virginie de Valandraud’, both Saint-Emilion. We finished with a wonderful Creme Brûlée.
