Jean-Michel Cazes was one of the greatest ambassadors of Bordeaux wines, in France and worldwide.

Eloquent, dynamic and inventive, he devoted his energy to promoting the superb quality and diversity of Bordeaux’s wines and was one of the first to grasp the importance of developing wine tourism.

He was the founder, in 1977, of the wine trade firm, La Compagnie Médocaine des Grands Crus.

Owner of Château Lynch Bages in Pauillac, Jean-Michel Cazes died on Wednesday 28^th June 2023, at the age of 88.
