Mr Jonathan Perrée becomes the Maître of this new Commanderie de Bordeaux in Jersey.
The history of Mr Perrée’s family on the island of Jersey dates back to the 12th century. His network of relations will bring additional visibility for our wines of Bordeaux in this region.
The members of the delegation of the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux and Wine Brotherhood arrived on the Condor ferry from France early morning on Wednesday 21st June 2023:

Nathalie Escurédo – Chancelière of the GCVB
Jean-Philippe Saby – Jurat of the Jurade de Saint-Emilion
Welcomed by Jonathan Perrée at the ferry terminal, they went directly to the United Club for coffee and breakfast.
At 10.30 am, they had an appointment at Government House.
The Lieutenant Governor, Vice Admiral Jeremy Kyd CBE ((Companion of the British Empire), was unable to attend the evening function as he had to attend the St Helier Yacht Club, which is 120 years old in 2023. He attended the commemoration of the St Helier Yacht Club’s part in evacuating allied troops from St Malo in 1940. As an apology to the Commanderie de Bordeaux, the Lieutenant Governor invited the delegation from Bordeaux to morning coffee and to visit Government House.
He was very disappointed not to be able to attend the opening ceremony of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Jersey. He is a lover of Bordeaux wines!
After the visit of Government House, the delegation set off for a brief tour of the island with Jonathan Perrée, followed by lunch at the United Club.

The Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux and the new Commanderie de Bordeaux in Jersey sincerely thank the Bordeaux Châteaux selected, the Wine Syndicates and the Wine Brotherhoods, who generously provided the wines for the Tasting held prior to the induction ceremony, for the Gala Dinner and for constituting the cellar of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Jersey.

7.15 pm Induction Ceremony
Grand Maître, Jean-Marc Dulong made the induction of Jonathan Perrée, now the Maître of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Jersey. Jonathan Perrée then proceeded with the induction of the Jersey Commandeurs.
After the Maître, 16 people were inducted at the opening of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Jersey.
