The Commanderie de Bordeaux in Tokyo held a dinner in collaboration with Château Kirwan, at the Pachon restaurant, Daikanyama in Tokyo, on Monday 29^th May 2023.

Mrs Sophie Schyler-Thierry, joint owner of Château Kirwan, gave 30 bottles of wine for this splendid dinner: Charmes de Kirwan 2019 and Château Kirwan of the 2003 and 2016 vintages. An exceptional fusion was created between the wines of Kirwan and the cuisine of the Pachon restaurant!

Mr Nicolas Thiriet, Minister-Counsellor at the French Embassy in Tokyo, honoured this occasion with his presence, in the company of 50 members of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Tokyo and they all enjoyed a very pleasant evening thanks to Mrs Sophie Schyler-Thierry and the team at the Pachon restaurant.

Here is the special menu to accompany the wines of Château Kirwan:

• Appetizers

• White asparagus with vinaigrette and shavings of duck breast ham

• Warm pâté of poultry and sweetbread, with green pea mousseline, creamy Madeira sauce and duxelle of morel mushrooms.

• Rack of lamb cooked in a mustard and herb crust

• Cheese

• Dessert
