At the Villa du Hautstart in Mélin, after two years of being deprived of social gatherings, the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Wallonia organised a superb event on 17^th June 2022, its 10^th Induction Ceremony, in the company of several Bordeaux wine estate owners and directors, to celebrate the wines of Bordeaux in their presence. A gala dinner followed this ceremony.

Members and guests of the Commanderie had the opportunity to taste eight prestigious Great Classified Growths from three appellations: Graves-Pessac-Léognan, Margaux and Sauternes:

• Mrs Sophie SCHYLER-THIERRY, Owner of Château Kirwan – Grand Cru Classé en 1855, Margaux

• Mrs Anne-Françoise QUIÉ, Owner of Château Rauzan-Gassies – Grand Cru Classé en 1855, Margaux

• Mrs Sandrine GARBAY, Managing Director of Château Guiraud – 1er Grand Cru Classé en 1855, Sauternes

• Mr Olivier BERNARD, Owner of Domaine de Chevalier – Grand Cru Classé de Graves
(held up at the last minute, but sent his wines)

• Mr and Mrs Tristan KRESSMANN, Owners of Château Latour-Martillac – Grand Cru Classé, Graves

• Mr Jean-Jacques BONNIE, Owner of Château Malartic-Lagravière – Grand Cru Classé de Graves

• Mr Henri LURTON, Owner of Château Brane-Cantenac – Grand Cru Classé en 1855, Margaux

• Mr Dominique BEFVE, Managing Director of Château Lascombes – Grand Cru Classé en 1855, Margaux
(held up at the last minute, but sent his wines)

During a splendid ceremony, nine people were inducted that evening:
