Day 2

Thursday 16th September 2021

Château Lascombes – Grand Cru Classé en 1855 – AOC Margaux

From 6 pm, Visit & Prestige Dinner in honour of the Commanderies de Bordeaux

In glorious sunshine at the end of the day, the group received a very warm welcome from Karine Barbier, Head of Public Relations and Dominique Befve, Manager of Château Lascombes.

Dominique Befve revealed to the group of Commandeurs, for the very first time, the new winemaking facilities at Lascombes. The visit continued with a tour of the barrel storehouse.

An aperitif of Taittinger Champagne and appetisers was served outside on the shaded patio. A Prestige Dinner in honour of the Commanderies de Bordeaux was served in the magnificent private reception room of the Château. The delicious meal was accompanied by a superb service of wines, with magnums and double magnums taken especially from the cellar for this marvellous occasion.

The Menu
Crab tartare, with scallop roe and nasturtium flowers
Fillet of veal, truffle sauce with Champagne
An assortment of 3 matured cheeses, decorated with beetroot sprouts
Tainori chocolate ganache with red fruit parfait

Our sincerest thanks to Dominique Befve and to Karine Barbier for their warm welcome and for this magnificent and memorable Commanderies dinner held at Château Lascombes.

The vineyard of Château Lascombes, which belongs to the MACSF group, stretches across 120 hectares of vines in the Margaux appellation, as well as 10 hectares in the Haut-Médoc appellation. To this day, it is one of the largest vineyards of the Crus Classés in 1855.
