The Pessac-Léognan appellation association announces the appointment of Philibert Perrin as its President following his election on April 10, 2026.
Co-owner of Château Carbonnieux with his brother Eric and owner of Château Lafont-Menaut, Philibert Perrin is a well-known figure within the appellation. Long involved in the life of the association, having served as President from 2017 to 2022 and as Secretary General previously, he embodies a deep understanding of the territory and its challenges.
The Pessac-Léognan appellation, a historic cradle of Bordeaux’s great wines, enjoys strong international recognition. Philibert Perrin’s presidency is part of a collective momentum.
He brings a unifying vision aimed at strengthening Pessac-Léognan’s positioning on both the national and international stage. As he has highlighted, the key challenge is to “bring together” all estates and continue the work of promoting the appellation’s visibility and influence.
This appointment therefore marks the beginning of a new chapter for the appellation. Through this renewed governance, the Pessac-Léognan Winegrowers’ Association reaffirms its growing ambition in service of an exceptional winegrowing territory.
