April 19, 2026Induction of new Maîtres of the Commanderies de Bordeaux in Brazil
On Sunday, April 19, Château Bellefont-Belcier hosted the new Maîtres of the Commanderies de Bordeaux in Brazil for a convivial and warm dinner.
This event highlighted the dynamism of Manuel Brandao, formerly Maître of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in São Paulo and now Grand Maître of the Commanderies in Brazil. His enthusiasm has led to the establishment of three new Commanderies in the country: Recife, Curitiba, and Porto Alegre.
The evening also provided an opportunity to induct three new members into the ranks of the Brazilian Commandeurs: Leandro Almeida and Armando Ribeiro within the Commanderie de Bordeaux in São Paulo, as well as Leonardo Buarque in the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Recife.
Among the guests were Abner Almeida, Maître of the new Commanderie de Bordeaux in Curitiba - previously inducted as a Commandeur in São Paulo - and Jadir Engers, Maître of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Porto Alegre, also previously inducted in São Paulo. Luli Dias, the new Maître of the Commanderie in São Paulo, and Mauricio Dias, Maître of the Commanderie in Recife, were also in attendance.
The inductions were followed by a refined food and wine pairing dinner, leaving all guests on a positive note.
The wines served included: Château La Clusière 1970, Château Rausan-Ségla 1986, Château Bellefont-Belcier 2014, Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion 2014, Château Bellefont-Belcier 2015, Château Brane-Cantenac 2015, Château Tour Saint Christophe 2020, Château Pavie 2005, Château Lynch-Bages 2020, Château Pavie Macquin 2020, Château Larcis Ducasse 2020, and Château Bastor-Lamontagne 2022.
