On 15 October 2026, the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Sydney hosted its annual Gala Dinner, bringing together 82 guests for an evening celebrating the great wines of Bordeaux.

On this occasion, two new Commandeurs were inducted, including Gilles Barrier, Consul General of France in Sydney.

This ceremony reflects the vitality of the Commanderie and its commitment to upholding Bordeaux’s values and traditions in Australia. Combining fine dining, Bordeaux wine tastings and warm exchanges, the evening once again illustrated the purpose of the Commanderies: to bring together enthusiasts of Bordeaux wines and nurture the bonds that unite them around the world.
