One of the greatest figures in Saint-Emilion viticulture, Gérard Perse (1949-2025) passed away on Saturday, 19th July 2025 at the age of 75, following a long and painful illness.

Having become owner of Château Pavie in 1998, thanks to his passion and tireless work, this property was awarded the prestigious classification of 1er Grand Cru classé "A" de Saint-Emilion in 2012.

In some thirty years, along with his family: his wife, his daughter, his son-in-law, and his entire team, he built the Perse Latitudes empire, which includes several beautiful wine estates, a hotel, and luxury restaurants.

Gérard Perse is survived by his wife Chantal, his daughter Angélique and his son-in-law Henrique da Costa and two grandchildren.

The Grand Maître and members of the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux express their sincerest condolences to the entire family of Gérard Perse.
