On Friday, 21st March 2025, the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Wallonia celebrated the arrival of spring and welcomed its Commandeurs and inductees to the home of one of its members, Chef Benoît Helleputte, in his mecca of Brabant gastronomy, the restaurant "Une Autre Histoire" in Walhain.
It's budding in the vineyards; Bordeaux is celebrating the spring of the new vintage everywhere. And we welcomed two winemakers from Pomerol and Castillon: Romain Rivière, accompanied by his delightful wife Ikumi, and Monsieur Renaud Limbosch.
Romain presented a tasting of his wines from Château Vieux Rivière in Lalande-de-Pomerol, and some precious bottles from his former estate, Clos Geyrosse, in Saint-Emilion.
Renaud, gave us a tasting of his wines from Château Tifayne, in Francs "Côtes de Bordeaux" and Castillon "Côtes de Bordeaux," and his Crémant de Bordeaux.
All these wonderful wines accompanied the delicious menu that Benoît had specially prepared for the occasion... in short, pure bliss!
