The Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux held its Congress of Maîtres of the Commanderies de Bordeaux, from 11^th to 13^th September 2024.

During these 3 days of the Maîtres’ Congress, all the Bordeaux appellations were given the spotlight.

This international event brought together 58 Maîtres, 4 Grands Maîtres, 1 Maître Emérite and 42 Accompanying Guests.

22 countries took part in the Maîtres’ Congress 2024: South Africa, Germany, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Spain, USA, France, Indonesia, Japan, Jersey, Lebanon, Lithuania, Norway, Netherlands, United-Kingdom, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland and Vietnam.

During the morning of Friday 13^th September, Maîtres attended a working session at La Cité du Vin.

Here is the schedule of the working session:

9h00: Opening and introduction of the session by the Grand Maître and President of the GCVB, Jean-Marc DULONG, in the presence of Sylvie CAZES

9h15: Presentation by the Marketing Departement of the CIVB – Florence BOSSARD, Marketing Manager and Dominique LAROCHE, Bordeaux Wine School Manager

Speaking time – discussions – Eric VOGT (Grand Maître of the Commanderies USA)

10h30-10h45: coffee break in the Garonne foyer

10h45: Presentation by de Stéphane DERENONCOURT

11h30: Presentations by Jean-Marc DULONG (GCVB) time for speaking - discussion

12h30: End of the working session

12h45 – 14h30: Lunch-buffet, in the Garonne foyer and “Wine Casino” Entertainment, coordinated by the CIVB/Wine School.
