US Board of Governors Meeting
From 17th to 21st January 2018, Maîtres of the 34 Commanderies de Bordeaux in the USA gathered at the Sailfish Club of Florida in Palm Beach for 3 days of working sessions, in support of Bordeaux wines.
On 20th January 2018, in presence of Francis Boutemy, Grand Maître of the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux and Hubert de Boüard, Vice-Grand Maître, as well as Paul Chedgy, Territorial Grand Maître of the United Kingdom, Eric Vogt was bestowed the title of Grand Maître des Commanderies de Bordeaux in the United States. By this handover of power, Eric Vogt takes over from Angus Smith. Before the official induction ceremony began, Francis Boutemy thanked Angus Smith most sincerely for the exceptional work he has accomplished over the past 16 years at the head of the Commanderies de Bordeaux in the United States.
During the three days of meeting at Palm Beach, a series of Bordeaux wine tastings were organised, as well as dinners preceded by various induction ceremonies.
