Twinned with Bordeaux for the past 40 years, the Japanese city of Fukuoka placed Bordeaux wines in place of honour during the last week of March 2023, at the occasion of a Bordeaux Wine Week: 29 partner wine shops presented Bordeaux wines served by the glass, and 6 special evenings combining Asian gastronomy (meeting the chefs) and Bordeaux wines were proposed at “BordEau”, the 100% Bordeaux Wine Bar in Fukuoka, which was packed full all week.
