The Commanderie de Bordeaux in Tokyo held its Annual General Meeting in 2023 and a Springtime dinner on Thursday 2^nd March at the Tokyo Station Hotel.

Mr Toshiro Suzuki, former Ambassador of Japan in Egypt and Denmark, took up his new role as representative of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Tokyo, following the end of Mr Yoshiaki Hompo’s term of office as Maître.

After a short flute concert performed by Miss Kazuki Ikeda, Mr Charles-Henri Brosseau, Cultural Advisor for the French Embassy in Japan and Director of the French Institute of Japan, presented his congratulations and Mrs Junko Koshino, Honorary Ambassador of Bordeaux wines, raised a toast.

We tasted wines from the Margaux appellation to accompany the delicious French cuisine prepared at the Tokyo Station Hotel.

According to tradition, Mr Shinichi Yasuda, Vice-Maître, gave a few words to end this marvellous evening, “I love Bordeaux, always Bordeaux”
