The Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux presided over this opening ceremony to induct the Maître of this new Commanderie in Germany, Urs-Stefan KINTING.
Hamburg is now the 8th Commanderie de Bordeaux in Germany, after Bremen, Dusseldorf, Munich, Essen, Berlin, Stuttgart and Frankfurt.

An informal dinner was held at the Restaurant Casse-Croûte, in the presence of Mr Kinting and his daughter, Julia Kinting, as well as Detlef Disko (Maître of the Commanderie in Dusseldorf), Peter Baumgardt (Grand Maître for Germany), Xavier Maurange (Commanderie du Bontemps Sainte Croix du Mont), Peer Pfeiffer (Commanderie du Bontemps Médoc & Graves, Sauternes & Barsac) et Stéphane Donze (Connétablie des Côtes de Bourg).

In the early afternoon, a private visit to the Elb-Philharmonic Hamburg was organised, followed by an organ concert.
At the Hanse Lounge, private business club in the centre of Hamburg, from 6pm to 7pm, a Tasting of Bordeaux wines was presented.
In attendance at this tasting were the Maîtres of German Commanderies, the Maître and members of the Commanderie in Vienna and the founding members of the Commanderie in Hamburg (13 people), as well as Jean-Marc Dulong for the Grand Conseil du Vin de Bordeaux and the representatives of the Bordeaux Wine Brotherhoods.
At 7 pm, the official Ceremony for the opening of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Hamburg began. Maître Urs-Stefan Kinting was inducted by Vice Grand Maître of the Grand Conseil, Jean-Marc Dulong. Then, Maître Kinting proceeded to induct the 12 founding Commandeurs de Bordeaux in Hamburg:

At the end of this splendid opening ceremony, a dinner was held in the reception rooms of the Hanse Lounge and accompanied by fine wines of Bordeaux.
