Commanderie de Bordeaux in Japan

The Commanderie de Bordeaux in Tokyo held its Bordeaux 2021 Vintage Tasting on Wednesday 8^th June 2022, from 3pm. Mrs Mutsumi Matsui, owner of the Hibiya Palace and also member of the Commanderie de Bordeaux in Tokyo, offered us this superb venue as usual.

Mrs Mayumi Hayashi, Vinothécaire, gave us a presentation of an overview of the 2021 Vintage in Bordeaux. After a speech given by Mr Yoshiaki Hompo, Grand Maître, Mrs Mizuyo Horiguchi, accredited tutor of the Bordeaux Wine School, informed us during her seminar of the tremendous efforts made by Bordeaux winegrowers during this vintage, in very difficult weather conditions, as a result of global warming.

Participants at this magnificent tasting of the new vintage tasted 36 samples from 30 different wine estates and they all admired the quality of these Bordeaux wines.
