Château du Tertre – Grand Cru Classé en 1855 – AOC Margaux
10 am : Visit & Tasting for Group 1 

The group was received at the property by Jean-Marc Dulong and Hugo Pinsent, Cellar Technician, for a superb visit of the grounds, then the interior of the château (guest rooms, library, and magnificent kitchen), the winemaking installations and the barrel storehouse.  Afterwards, a tasting was presented by Jean-Marc Dulong and Mrs Cynthia Capelaere, Manager of Château du Tertre.   The wines tasted were :

• Du Tertre white 2020, Vin de France
• Château du Tertre 2012, Grand Cru Classé de Margaux

Château du Tertre looks over a vineyard of 52 hectares in one single piece of land that benefits from a superb position. Planted in majority, Cabernet Sauvignon brings structure and concentration. Renowned for its roundness and suppleness, Merlot provides all its silkiness in the final blend. Cabernet Franc stands out for its rich aromas of notes of spices. Lastly, late-ripening Petit Verdot will give the finishing touch to the range of aromas and flavours. This is how the Fine Wine of Château du Tertre is created, a reflection of all the soul of its exceptional terroir.

10 am : Visit & Tasting for Group 2

The group was welcomed by Myriam Ruer, Sales Manager at Château Marquis de Terme. A visit of the winemaking facilities, the château and its brand new restaurant, « Au Marquis de Terme » Grégory Coutenceau, was followed by a tasting of two wines of the property :

• Château Marquis de Terme 2016, AOC Margaux, Grand Cru Classé en 1855
• La Couronne de Marquis de Terme 2016, AOC Margaux
