Following his time at Château Lagrange, Benjamin Vimal is now putting his 13 years of experience to work at the heart of Château Margaux’s R&D department, alongside Director Blandine de Rouffignac. 

An agricultural engineer and oenologist, Benjamin Vimal is now taking charge of the estate’s technical operations. In this role, he will support Blandine de Rouffignac, a Ph.D. in oenology who has been with the estate for eight years, in R&D.

According to the 1855 First Growth, this new dynamic stems from a desire “to place progress and continuous improvement at the heart of the estate’s vision.”
Together, they form a complementary partnership where scientific research guides technical decisions in the field, while on-the-ground expertise in turn informs research priorities.
