The 2019 Bordeaux promises to be a great quality Vintage!

Tastings of the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux will be held from 5^th June 2020, for wine professionals of the Gironde (wine merchants, brokers and journalists). 

Owing the health crisis, the novelty this year is that tasters will arrive wearing face coverings and the bottles of wine samples will be handled only by a few sommeliers. Tastings will be organised in small groups, with no more than 8 people for each, with a flow direction in the room marked on the floor. Health safety standards are extremely strict and all the procedures have been entrusted to the company Bureau Véritas.

Properties and châteaux unable to attend the event will present their wines via video.

After these tastings at the beginning of the month of June, the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux will go to visit restaurateurs and distributors in France and abroad. An international tour is being prepared to take the UGCB to Paris, Brussels, Zurich, Frankfurt and Hong Kong. There is some doubt at present concerning the tour travelling to the cities of New York and London.
